Cinnamon Sugar Glazed Nuts are a delicious snack.
They are the perfect choice when you cannot decide if you are craving something sweet or salty.
The honey glaze, cinnamon, sugar and salt are the perfect combination to satisfy both of those cravings.
Not to mention that nuts are packed with heart-healthy fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals.
To make these nuts you first want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and set aside. This isn’t required, but it sure does make the clean up process much quicker and easier.
In a microwaveable bowl, melt your butter and honey. You will want to heat this until the butter is just melted (generally about 30 seconds).
Now, place your nuts in a medium bowl. You can use any type of nut with this recipe. I used a “mixed nut” variety, but you could also stick with just one type (just cashews or just almonds etc.) if you have a particular favorite.
Now pour the honey/butter mixture over the nuts. Stir until all nuts are completely coated with the mixture.
Once all nuts are coated, spread them onto your prepared baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
Remove nuts from oven, give them a good stir to make sure all sides get toasted and place back in the oven for 3-5 more minutes. Watch the nuts very closely at this point. They go from toasted to burnt very quickly!
Combine your sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl while nuts are baking and set aside.
Remove nuts from the oven. Immediately sprinkle your cinnamon and sugar mixture over the nuts. You do not want to wait for this step! If the nuts cool too much, the cinnamon/sugar will not adhere to the nuts and fall right off. With a spatula, give the nuts a stir to make sure all of the nuts get covered with the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
You can add a little bit of salt to taste at this point as well. If you prefer them more sweet, then do not add the salt. If you like more of a 50/50 balance between the two, then add to taste.

Once all nuts are coated, spread them onto your prepared baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
Take nuts out, give a good stir and place back in oven for another 3-5 minutes. Watch closely!!! While the nuts are baking, combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and mix. You will want this ready for when the nuts are done.
Remove nuts from oven and immediately sprinkle your cinnamon and sugar over the nuts. Use a spatula to stir nuts to make sure that the cinnamon/sugar mixture coats all nuts.
Cool and devour!
Extra Tip: Not only do these nuts make wonderful snacks, they also make wonderful gifts. Place them in a little air tight jar with a little note and you will make someones day a little sweeter!
I plan on giving these away next valentines day with a little note attached that reads, “I am nuts for you”!
