Garlic Green Beans

Looking for a quick and easy vegetable to serve with dinner tonight? These green beans are your answer!

Fresh green beans tossed with butter, garlic, & oregano…super quick, super easy, and super delicious!!

The only ingredients that you need for these, besides the green beans, are butter, garlic, oregano (fresh or dried) and salt.

Start by washing your beans and snipping the tips off.  Once they have been washed and snipped, place them in a 2 quart saucepan and cover with 1 inch of water.

Heat to boiling; reduce heat.  Simmer uncovered for 6-8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.

While the beans are boiling, mince garlic and add all ingredient in a small bowl and set aside.

Once you have drained the beans, return them to the pan and add your ingredients, making sure to stir well.  Turn heat on low and cook for 1-2 additional minutes.  This will melt your butter and cook the garlic just enough to mellow it out a little.

Take off of stove and enjoy!

I’ve made I don’t know how many loaves of your beer batter bread. It’s so good it becomes the entree while the other dishes take second place! Thank you for posting the recipe!

Thanks Lorrie for your comments, I am glad you enjoyed it! I hate to admit it, but this bread has become the entire meal for us as well many nights:-/ I don’t feel so bad though when I look at the price of making this bread versus buying the commercial beer bread mixes.
